The coffee of Hacienda de San Antonio, is in fact the very origin of the property, dating back to the late 19th century, the plantation at its peak stretched out to the coast nearly 2 hours away. A truly remarkable product of the rich volcanic soil of Rancho Jabalí, and a small piece of history Hacienda guests enjoy one cup at a time every morning.

The tour takes approximately one hour and leads guests to the ranch where they will visit the ‘Beneficio de Café’ the boutique in-house coffee processing and roasting workshop, where they will learn all about coffee, from the cherry harvested just minutes away throughout the ranch, to the drying and roasting. Neighboring this area there are the workshops that produce everything from jams, honey, essential oils, soaps and of course – cheese. Over a dozen varieties of ‘queso’ come from Rancho Jabalí, anything from smoked gouda to a delicious parmesan. Guests will get a glimpse of these amazing processes, that all support the incredible culinary experience provided in every meal during their stay in the hotel, and of course are also provided in a lavish on-site tasting at the tour’s conclusion.
